No, it’s not the “scrumptious” food I’m lovin’. No, it’s not the free wifi I’m lovin’. No, it’s not the “great” service I receive I’m lovin’. I’m lovin’ the dumb people all around me. Ladies and gentlemen, as if the McRib being back for a while isn’t big enough for news, it’s making other news! [see below]
This time around for the release of the McRib, it’s making news for the level of mistreatment that is used towards the animals that are used to make these ribs that they consider to be food. Why is it just now making news? This is something they’ve surely done for a long time like everyone else. Animal cruelty consisting of poor living environments, tiny cages, and being pumped full of hormones is the way it’s done these days.
I absolutely love the point made in the movie, “Supersize Me”. Where on the chicken can you find the McNugget?…Exactly…
If you really would like to get a feel of where I’m going with all of this, I HIGHLY suggest watching that movie, if you have not done so already. If you have, then watch it again! I also beg of you to please please pleeeeease watch this ad by Chipotle that I saw a couple weeks ago in the theater. I even made it simple, you just have to click play!
I have never had Chipotle before, but now I can say I’m a fan of them, and have this ad to support why. This post isn’t just about the current news the McRib is making, nor is it just about how gross the food from McDonalds is; it, as a whole, is about a lot more. Animals shouldn’t be just viewed as a food product, but as living creatures as well. I’m not here to preach, but it is so wrong to be producing these animals the way they are. More product = more profit, and money means nothing else in the world matters. Our personal health, the animals well-being, and everything else means nothing. Money is what it’s all about. They are pumping these animals full of hormones so they’ll grow faster and fatter. In turn, we are consuming those same hormones. Is it really a mystery as to why kids are reaching puberty at such outrageously young ages.
I can happily say that I have been nearly 100% fast food free for nine months. I say nearly because I am guilty to a small bunch of fries from McDonalds at month eight, and a couple orders from KFC and Chick fil a. The food is not only loaded with preservatives, unknown substances, and hormones, in reality, it doesn’t taste great. Since I’ve been without fastfood, I have a noticeable increase in energy daily, and after years of nightly battles, I can actually sleep through the night. I have also noticed a considerable change in mind clarity and function. It’s more amazing than I thought it would be, and also more appalling to think that what we are eating in fast food really does have this much of a negative impact on our bodies. When I am hungry, and would like to get something in little time, I rely on Subway. There are MORE Subway restaurants than McDonalds, believe it or not, so there is no excuse to not choose a fresh hoagie over a greasy mystery meat burger or nuggets made from paste.
Folks, I don’t have a way to express how I feel about this. I’ve tried to put it out on this post, but it’s probably all scrambled, poorly written, and all over the place, so just watch the above Youtube link and make time to watch “Supersize Me”. After you do, tell me your thoughts and if you decide to at least lessen the amount of the crap you eat.
I will recap, because, as I stated, I feel this article was all over the place, and feel that it cannot be fixed. SO:
-The McRib is just now being robbed out. Know that it is not just the McRib, but what is being targeted since it is something people are elated over when it is for sale; it’s ALL food from fast food chains.
-Animals are treated poorly & pumped full of hormones to produce and supply the demands of the restaurants and consumers.
-The “food” you are eating from these places really isn’t even food in all reality. It’s shit that people put in their mouths, chew, swallow, struggle to digest, and finally shit out the shit.
-Chipotle is trying to be different, make a change, and be healthier than all others. Even if they aren’t, at least they recognize what’s going on and broadcast it.
-Less naps, energy drinks, and obesity epidemics can be done away with, (or at least lessened) by eliminating fast food.
Lastly, what I’m lovin’, is all of the above facts, and yet people are just now starting to recognize it, and with or without knowing all of these facts, people STILL eat it.
…Oh, and no, I’m not a hypocrite for when I consume it a couple times a year because eating it in such low amounts isn’t enough to affect me or wipe out numerous animals on these animal
